Half a box of kleenex and a shopping bag full of snot rags…that’s where I’m at today. Last week I was bragging to my sick coworker how I haven’t been sick since I have been pregnant and taking the prenatal vitamins…and now look at me! 3 days later I catch her damn cold! I stayed home from work today because I can not seem to stop the stream of snot pouring out of my nose. It doesn’t help that being pregnant limits my drug choices to one option which doesn’t even work. So I suffer through it - lugging myself off the couch only to empty my big ol pregnant bladder every 20 minutes. It’s bad enough being sick with a bad head cold even worse when you violently sneeze every minute or so. If you are lucky, as I have been, you only pee your pants a little and every other sneezing fit instead of every time you sneeze. Ahhhhhh pregnancy….
I did manage to catch “A Baby Story” on TLC today. I haven’t seen one fo those since I have been pregnant. A couple of friends had admited to watching the show religiously once they found out they were pregnant, but since I’m at work when it’s on I have missed it. I have to say I definitely did get a bit emotional and watched intently as the woman was in labor and delivering her child. I still find it hard to believe that THAT is going to happen to me! Mostly as I watched her labor through, I wondered why she would agree to have a camera crew in their filming her. Didn’t she know that you poop on the table? Did you really want that filmed? Maybe they make a promise to you to “look away” when it happens or to universaly agree that it just doesn’t happen even though we all know it does…brave woman just the same.
D got home from work an hour ago and brought me some dinner which was very nice of him. he’s gone now though…off to a “meeting” at the local bar with his boss and coworker. Yeah…a “meeting”. I just threw a minor tantrum about how I don’t get to do anything anymore! I feel like my head is going to explode and I can’t even have a freakin’ drink to try to numb the pain..I mean my teeth hurt - that’s how much pressure I got in my skull!
and that…was my rant.
